Children of Joseph Stillman
and Mary "Molly" Maxon

daughter of Reverend Joseph Maxson and Bethiah Maxson

Joseph accompanied a "mission" to New Jersey and Virginia in 1742. Members of that group later assisted in founding Alfred University in New York.
From researching the Town Council Records of Westerly, RI it was found that that Joseph Stillman died shortly before 28 Feb 1757 when his inventory was presented to the Council by widow Mary (Maxson) Stillman.
On 30 Jan 1769, Amy Stillman and Lois Stillman, daughters of Joseph Stillman - deceased - chose their brother, Joseph Stillman to be their guardian. Source - Westerly TCP Volume 4, page 122; film #930, 806.
Updated, corrective research was performed by Susan Irish - a direct descendent of Joseph Stillman.
