In Lincklaen, N. Y., March 18th, after a short illness, Orra Olin, wife of Schuyler Olin, aged 44 years. Sister Olin had been for many years a worthy member of the Seventh-day Baptist Church in Lincklaen, and in her last illness the triumphs of her faith evinced that her house was set in order. Her end was peace. “Blessed are the dead that die in the Lord.” A husband and five children lament their loss.

In Lincklaen, Chenango Co., N. Y., Aug. 10th, 1879, of consumption, Mrs. Temperance A. Stillman, wife of Schuyler Olin, Esq., aged 57 years. The deceased was a daughter of the late Wm. And Abigail Stillman. She made a profession of religion in early life, and united with the Seventh-day Baptist Church in Lincklaen, of which she remained a worthy member until death. She has been a great sufferer, having been confined to her home and bed most of the time for several years. She has gotten the victory through the blood of the Lamb, and reached the clime where the inhabitants are never sick. A large concourse of kindred, friends, and acquaintances gave testimony on the occasion of her funeral by their presence and tears of their regard for departed worth. J. C.

In Lincklaen, N. Y., March 8, 1891, Schuyler Olin, aged 84 years, 6 months and 5 days.
He was born in Berlin, N. Y., and was brought by his parents when a child to the town of German (now Lincklaen) and grew up in that plain hardy way that gave him good health and happy spirits through his long and active life. When fifteen years of age he professed faith in Christ, was baptized by Eld. W. B. Maxson and joined the Lincklaen Church, and continued a worthy member till death. His wife was Orra Messenger, who died leaving five children, and his second, Amanda T. Stillman, who left one daughter, but sickness and distance prevented these from being present at his funeral. Bro. Olin for many years has been a pillar of strength to the Lincklaen Church, greatly helping in his counsel and means in its religious work. For years his strength has been failing, and a severe attack of pneumonia brought his long and useful life to a quiet end. L. R. S.

Benjamin H. Stillman was born in DeRuyter, N. Y., April 2, 1835, and died April 12, 1908, in Riverside, California.
Mr. Stillman at an early age gave his heart to Christ and united with the Lincklaen Center Seventh-day Baptist Church, of which he was an active member when he went to Oregon about twenty years ago, and united with the Talent church at the time of its organization. After this people disbanded, he joined the Riverside Church. Less than a year ago he came to Riverside. That he was able to be among people of like faith the last months of his life gave him joy unspeakable; and he frequently remarked that it seemed almost like heaven to him.
When a child he delighted in the Scriptures. To the last he never grew weary of them, and when he became too weak to read, he loved to have the same story read to him.
He leaves a son, who was with him at the last and who deeply feels his loss, also a grandson who lives in New York. E. F. L.

In Lincklaen, N. Y., April 4th, 1865, after a lingering illness, Jane E. P., wife of Benjamin H. Stillman, aged 29 years. Sister Stillman was the youngest daughter of Dea. W. D. Wilcox, deceased. She embraced Jesus as her Saviour, and made a public profession of religion, when about seventeen years of age, was baptized by Eld. J. R. Irish, and united with the Seventh-day Baptist Church in DeRuyter. Soon after the removal of her parents to Lincklaen, she transferred her membership to the Seventh-day Baptist Church in that town, where she continued a member until her death.
Her illness was very painful, as well as protracted, but she "endured as seeing Him who is invisible." There was no murmuring or repining at the dispensations of God's providence, but a cheerful acquiescence therein, and the exhibition of a spirit of entire resignation to the will of her heavenly Father. She felt a deep sense of personal unworthiness, and endeavored to rely with entire confidence on the all-sufficient and meritorious work of Christ for salvation.
As the time of her departure drew near, her physical sufferings were intensified; but her religious joy was likewise increased, and her hope in Christ was the anchor of the soul, "sure and steadfast, and which entereth into that within the veil." She quietly fell asleep in Jesus.
In her death a husband and two little children have been bereaved of an affectionate companion and mother, and mourning relatives of a faithful and true friend.
