OBITUARY from Fredonia Censor, Dec 17, 1889:

LAID AT REST
The funeral of Otis Stillman
The remains of the late Otis Stillman reached here from Florida at three o'clock AM, and were taken to the home of his son Mr. J. O. Stillman on Eagle St. The funeral services were held at the house at half past one, and at two o'clock the body was taken to the Presbyterian Church, with which Mr. Stillman had long been connected. The attendance at the church was limited by the storm prevailing; but included many, in particular, of the older business men of the city. The services were conducted by the Rev. T.S. Day, the pastor of the church. He made a brief address, on the subject of remembering the Creator in the days of youth, drawing an illustration from the deceased, whose life was an example of it and whose memory will thereby not be simply of his last moments, but of his whole life, which was all of one texture, and throughout its whole length was directed to the same earnest and helpful purposes. The choir sang three hymns -- "Gathering Homeward", "We Shall Sleep but not Forever", and "Only Waiting". The remains were taken to Forest Hill Cemetery at Fredonia for interrment. The bearers were Dr. J. T. Williams, Dr. S.M. Smith, A.H. Libby, and Major C. K. Abell.
Mrs. Stillman, who was with Mr. Stillman in Florida at the time of his death, was unable to come with her husband's remains. Dr. George B. Stillman of Franklin, PA was present.

Comments on back of picture - Last Dunkirk house of Augusta Stillman Cushing - bought after the death of her husband - shared for 2 seasons with Mrs. William Stillman and two daughters, Merriom and Dorothy. During one winter, J. Otis Stillman stayed with these four. On their departure south for Atlanta, he continued to remain one more winter. The climate and Mrs. Cushing's advanced age induced her to sell and she made her home thereafter till death with Mrs. Cora S. Alden, Minneapolis [Author - probably G. Stillman]
