Dr. Clark Stillman was born in Petersburg, Rensselaer Co., N. Y., Aug. 9, 1807; moved west in 1844; practiced medicine 42 years; was in the army during the late war for a time; and died at Milton Junction, Wis., of la grippe, April 18, 1890.
He professed religion in early life, and at the time of his death was a member of the Milton Seventh-day Baptist Church. His funeral was largely attended. Sermon by N. Wardner, from Isaiah 3: 10. In Milton, Rock Co., Wis., Oct 1, 1852, Electa Stillman. consort of Clarke G. Stillman, M. D. Sister Stillman was 44 years old. She died of an affliction of the heart. She was as well as usual until within some twenty minutes of her death. She was a member of the 1st Church of Genesee, Allegany Co., N. Y. She had offered herself as a candidate for membership in Milton, but from the inclemency of the weather at the time she was to be admitted, she was prevented from attending church. Before she had another opportunity, she went to join the church triumphant. She seemed to enjoy much of her Master's presence for several months before her departure. She was most beloved by those who best knew her.
