Michael "Mico" Spartali Stillman emigrated to the States in 1899 and with parental help entered the office of the leading New York architects McKim, Mead, and White; they were engaged at the time in the design of J Pierpont Morgan’s Murray Hills mansion between Madison and Third, today’s Morgan Library, completed in 1903.
Michael Spartali Stillman did not prosper in the big time environment (a nervous and un-strong lad) and adjusted to the Morgan era with difficulty; I know of him at Cornish with Augustus Saint-Gaudens in 1904 and circa 1907 he practised as Micheal (sic) Stillman, Architect, 134 East 25th Street. He ran an interior design and furnishings business from the same address, The Kelmscott Decorating Company, in partnership with Florence Stillman.

Michael Spartali Stillman and wife Evangeline Bogart Donaldson Stillman had four children - Michael, known as Midie; [George] W J, known as Jim; Frances; and, Joy. I know nothing of the first two. Frances died circa 1990 or perhaps a bit earlier, unmarried I think; she lived on a farm in Mass. Frances had the family papers, as I have it on good academic authority. "Midie" - Michael - son of Michael ("Mico") Stillman and Evangeline Donaldson Stillman died at 17 in an accident on the Hudson River at Woodstock when the ice on which he was walking broke up under him. Michael "Mico" Stillman's wife Evangeline Bogart Donaldson Stillman suffered a stroke soon after and was left an invalid
