Alice Clare Stillman Lawton was born November 19, 1887, at Albion, Wis., and died at the Leila Hospital, in Battle Creek, Mich., from injuries suffered in a traffic accident.
She spent her early life and received her education in Albion. She was married to Giles Frank Lawton September 24, 1908, and they moved to Battle Creek in 1909. For thirty years she has been employed by the Battle Creek Food Company as production manager, factory cost account, and held other important offices.
She gave her life to the Lord in early childhood and was an active and valued member of the Battle Creek Seventh Day Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, her mother, three brothers, five sisters, thirteen nieces and nephews, and many friends. Memorial service was held in Hebble Funeral Chapel on January 15, 1942, in charge of Pastors Holston and Hargis. Burial in Albion, Wis. G. D. H.

Giles F. Lawton, son of Frank and Dora Potter Lawton, was born Jan. 17, 1888, at Albion, Wis., and died Nov. 20, 1955.
He was married in 1908 to Alice Stillman, and they came to Battle Creek about 1911. His wife preceded him in death in 1942. He was a member of the Battle Creek Seventh Day Baptist Church.
He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Helen Simpson, and a brother, Stephen Lawton, both of Battle Creek; a niece, Mrs. Denzil (Elaine) Stonestreet, Charleston, W. Va.; and a nephew, Rev. Leon R. Lawton, Los Angeles, Calif.
Farewell services were conducted by his pastor, Rev. Leland E. Davis, from Farley Funeral Home. Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery, Edgerton [Albion], Wis., where graveside services were conducted by pastor Doyle Zwiebel. L. E. D.

EDGERTON - Willis S. Stillman, 73, Rte. 1, died unexpectedly this morning at Memorial Community Hospital following an apparent heart attack at his home yesterday.
Born Aug. 13, 1893, in Albion, he was the son of Horace and Clara Bolser. He had been a lifelong resident of Albion and married Adalene Green Nov. 16, 1918, in Albion. He was a machinist at Highway Trailer for 36 years and a member of the Albion Seventh Day Baptist Church, the Fulton Lodge F&AM 69, and a former member of the commandery.
Surviving are his wife; four sisters, Mrs. Frank Walter Sr., Richmond, Calif., Mrs. Myrtle Graham, Battle Creek, Mich., Mrs. Leon (Clara) Sylvester, Radcliff, Ky., and Mrs. Kathryn Fry, Chicago.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. A. Adison Appel officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Albion. Friends may call at the Ellingson Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Monday, where Masonic rites will be conducted at 7:30 p.m.

Mrs. Adalene Stillman, 88, a lifelong Albion resident, died Saturday in Broken Arrow, Okla.
Born Aug. 10, 1897, in Albion, the former Adalene Green married Willis Stillman on Nov. 16, 1918, at the Albion Seventh Say Baptist Church. He died Jan. 28, 1967. Mrs. Stillman was a piano teacher for more than 60 years. She was a graduate of the Albion Academy and the Milton College School of Music, a member of the Albion Seventh Day Baptist Church, its Society and the organist/pianist for many years.
Surviving are a foster daughter, Ruby Hardy of Edgerton, and a brother, Lowell Green of Cable.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Albion Seventh Day Baptist Church, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Bruni-Nygaard-Ward Funeral Home, Edgerton. Memorials may be made to the Albion Seventh Day Baptist Church.
