OCEANSIDE - Elma M. Stillman Smith, 88, died of natural causes Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2007.
Born Oct. 7, 1918, in Kansas, she lived in Oceanside since she was 1-year-old. She was a homemaker.
She graduated from Oceanside/Carlsbad High School, in 1936.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Eugene Smith, in 2001.
She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, David Smith of Oceanside and Marvin and Cindy Smith of Carlsbad; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1943 California St. in Oceanside with the Rev. Eddie Dopp officiating.
Her cremains will be scattered at sea.
Accu-Care Cremation Center is handling arrangements.

There is another angel in Heaven this day - 30 January 2007.
I was very proud and happy for Elma Mae Stillman Smith to call me her "third son"; from 1963 to 2007, she was my second Mom.
Elma has not died - she lives in the hearts, minds and souls of all her children, relatives and others that she touched in her life.
I shall love her always.
