I am the daughter of Herbert Lee Stillman, M. D. and Sarah Elizabeth (Browning) Stillman. I was born in Charlestown, Rhode Island, November 21, 1895 and named Hannah Amelia Stillman. We moved from Charlestown to Westerly when I was about 4 and to West Acton, Massachusetts when I was 6. We returned to Westerly when I was 12 and in seventh grade and lived there until after I graduated from college. Afterwards my family moved to a farm in North Stonington, Connecticut, where they have resided since, and I have spent many vacations there.

Interests and Hobbies:
Music has always been one of my principal pleasures. Since childhood, I have played the piano and sung in choruses and choirs. Like my parents. I sing at my work. I also enjoy writing. I served on the editorial board of student periodicals in both high school and college and was editor of the college paper, "The Beacon," my senior year. Flower arranging is another life long interest. I experiment with foods, design clothing, and interior decorating, as most homemakers do. As student and teacher, I enjoyed my studies and association with students. It has been gratifying and rewarding to continue these contacts with my husband's students and friends of my children.
