Doctor Thomas Stillman was born in Steeple Ashton on 25 Jan 1826. He married Carole Brutton Eales - second daughter of William Eales RN Trinity Church Islington, London on 27 May 1851 in Islington, London, England.
1842 Apprenticeship to Doctor William Stillman - his father - surgeon and apothecary in the art of a Surgeon and Apothecary with all things thereto belonging. After Doctor William Stillman's death, his executors - Samuel Provis of Warminster and John Provis of Yeovil - transferred the apprenticeship to Josua Lambert Vardy of Stamford Street, Blackfriars, London.
Doctor Thomas Stillman arrived in Melborne as a ships doctor in late 1852 or early in 1853.
His wife Caroline accompanied by son Thomas, age 2 - and Henry, an infant - sailed on SS Orwell from Portsmouth, England on 16 Oct 1854 arriving in Melborne, Australia on 2 Jan 1855.
Doctor Thomas Stillman practised in Richmond, Victoria from 1853 until his death there on 25 Nov 1876.
Caroline Brutton Eales Stillman died on 10 April 1895 and is buried with her husband and two daughters - Maude Jane and Edith Eales - in the Boorondarra Cemetary, Kew.
